Authentic Journey Coaching

Coaching with a Holistic Perspective

As a licensed mental health therapist, I use a coaching model that integrates trauma work, somatic practices, mindfulness, and inner child healing to help clients move forward in their lives, not just address isolated problems. While traditional therapy often focuses narrowly on a specific issue or symptom, coaching allows us to look at your life as a whole, uncover patterns, and create strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.

This approach:

  • Honors your past while emphasizing actionable steps for your present and future.

  • Helps you understand the connections between challenges and your overall life experience.

  • Encourages growth in multiple areas—emotional, relational, and practical.

  • Supports long-term transformation rather than temporary problem-solving.

In short, coaching with a holistic perspective empowers clients to heal, grow, and thrive across all areas of their life, rather than focusing on one problem at a time.

coaching vs counseling

  • There are often a lot of questions about the difference between coaching and counseling/therapy. Similar to counseling/therapy, coaching allows the use of all HOCI methods, mindfulness and somatic (body-based) practices. Below I have tried to highlight many of the differences to help you determine which option might best fit your needs. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions.

    • Coaching is not counseling/therapy.

    • Coaching does not diagnosis mental/emotional disorders.

    • Coaching can not use clinical interventions, including EMDR.

    • Coaching is not billable to insurance.

    • Coaching allows freedoms of exploration in what best serves the client.

    • Coaching allows healing work with other practitioners without the same conflict of dual relationships.

    • Coaching allows crossing of state/country lines.
